Natural Lip Care for Cracked Lips and Cold Sores
I have a love/hate relationship with Winter. I love hot drinks, cozy blankets, a crackling fire and creative-indoor family time. I hate dry hands, icy roads, cracked lips and cold sores. My coworker, Jeffrey, already shared his tips on caring for dry hands, so I am good there. I can’t help much with icy roads but wait for the bright sun to heat things up. I can attest to the healing powers of Lip Gleem for my cracked lips and Neem Cure for my cold sores.
First, let’s discuss the horror of cracked lips. Every Winter, like clockwork, I dreadfully anticipate the arrival of my dry, peeling and cracked lips. This Winter, however, I was armed for the assailing wind with my Pina Colada Lip Gleem. Whatcha goin’ to do now, wind?!
What do I love about Lip Gleem, besides its tantalizing scent?
Lip Gleem is great for rich moisturization without constant application. Honestly, I reapply often because I love the fragrance and smooth balm! Each Lip Gleem is chock full of Coconut oil, Mango butter, Vitamin E, the soothing properties of African Neem, and a special blend of pure essential and flavored oils. These natural ingredients combine to protect against environmental stressors which age us. Ewww! They also offer natural long-lasting moisturization. Yes, please!
Now that my lips are kissably soft, I am good. Or so I think. Just a few days pass and then ka-blam a cold sore appears…usually around date night with the hubby. Lucky me! What’s my arsenal of choice…one powerful Neem Cure. This Neem oil blend is naturally anti-viral and an anti-histamine. So, I can attack the detestable cold sore while decreasing the noticeable redness and swelling. I just apply a drop or two to the cold sore with a Q-tip twice a day and watch as it shrinks. Valentine’s Day is approaching so I’m glad to see this “Bad Boy” go away!
I hope my lip woes and subsequent lip care serve to prepare you for the Winter months. We all want to have kissable lips in time for Valentine’s and St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy the season without the pain and humiliation!
