I found out about Neem after watching the Dr. OZ show. I got so excited about the possibility of getting rid of the eczema that has persisted on my arms since I was a child. I was always told there was nothing I could do about it. My dermatologist suggested an over the counter lotion but it only smoothed my skin and did not take the redness away. I’ve only been using the Neem lotion and body soap for two days and I can already see a difference in my skin. The spots on my arms that were less severe have almost completely cleared and the other spots seem to get lighter every day. I’m so excited to see what it will do long-term…
Wash with Neem Soap twice a day. Use it on face, body, and scalp. Neem Soap will gently remove accumulated microbes without over drying the skin.
Use Neem lotion several times a day to maintain healthy skin. You may also add a few drops of Neem Cure Oil to the lotion before applying for an added boost of moisture and anti-bacterial fighting power. This intensifies the layer of protection from moisture loss and prevents the settling of microbes on the skin’s surface.
Neem Cure Oil:
Gently massage a few drops of JustNeem’s Neem Cure Oil onto cracked, inflamed, and itchy skin. Within minutes, Neem’s anti-infective and anti-microbial barriers are activated and Neem’s antihistamine function will begin to soothe and provide relief.
What actually is Eczema?
Eczema is a complex inflammatory skin disorder that affects about 30 million Americans. Also known as Atopic Dermatitis (AD), eczema is a painful, itchy skin condition that is difficult to treat, and can make everyday life quite miserable. Eczema rashes are generally red, itchy patches of thick, scaly skin. Dry, rough skin, a trademark of eczema, has no elasticity; it cracks easily and opens up to fungal and bacterial infections. Most often, eczema breakouts occur on the hands, legs, back of knees, neck, and face, but it can appear on every part of the body and is almost always itchy.
What Causes Eczema?
While the exact cause of eczema is unknown, researchers believe it is tied to the response of the body’s immune system to an irritant. Eczema is also more prevalent in individuals with a family history of allergies and asthma. Eczema flare-ups may occur in response to certain conditions or substances. For instance, contact with harsh detergents or an extreme temperature environment may trigger a flare-up of eczema breakouts.
Conventional Treatments for Eczema
Standard treatments for eczema are often non-specific and have been shown to cause adverse effects. Conventional treatments include over-the-counter creams, petroleum jelly, antihistamine drugs, and/or phototherapy. Steroids, such as Prednisone that affect the entire immune system, are also often prescribed. Some adverse effects of these traditional eczema treatments include insomnia, weight gain, mood irregularities from steroids, and an increased risk of skin cancer due to topical prescriptions. None of these treatments are recommended for continual treatment. Neem Oil, however, is just as effective, but does not produce any of these side effects.
JustNeem’s Neem Cure is a Neem Oil blend and a natural treatment-alternative for eczema. Neem oil effectively addresses four key areas of this skin condition, without the adverse effects from standard treatments.
- Neem Oil contains natural anti-histamines. These anti-histamines stop itching and reduce swelling, two of the most frustrating symptoms for eczema sufferers.
- Neem Oil is analgesic. Neem Cure oil reduces and often completely eliminates pain caused by the itching and the subsequent scratching that accompanies eczema rashes. It helps reduce sleeplessness, a common occurrence due to flare-ups that can be so severe oftentimes that they keep sufferers awake at night.
- Neem Oil is anti-fungal and anti-bacterial. Fungal and bacterial infections in eczema are secondary problems that arise due to cracked skin. Either from the primary rash or from scratching, open wounds easily become infected with opportunist microorganisms that naturally live on skin and are omnipresent in the environment. Anti-bacterial and anti-fungal compounds produced by the Neem Tree and concentrated in Neem leaf and Neem oil extracts work in concert to stop these infections and allow the skin to heal.
- Neem Oil is anti-inflammatory. The anti-inflammatory properties of Neem oil and Neem extracts, when regularly applied to affected areas, prevent eczema-triggers and secondary infections. Neem oil will soothe and calm the skin.
